Clarke Group gives a lesson in career opportunities
One of the region’s largest employers has linked up with a local secondary school to outline possible career opportunities.
Representatives from the Lisnaskea-based Clarke Group met with around 120 pupils from St Comgalls in the town.
Presentations were made by Martin Lowry (Clarke Group, Marketing Manager) and Mairead Corr (Human Resources Manager) and the Year 11 and 12 pupils participated in an interesting discussion.

“Essentially this was both a PR exercise for Clarkes and an opportunity to explain the very many potential career opportunities there are for these young people on their doorstep. We pride ourselves in being very much part of the local community,” explains Martin.
“The Clarke Group has been going from strength to strength for a number of years now and currently employs over 400 people across its six divisions who operate the length and breadth of Ireland. We thought it would be useful to explain at first hand how our various divisions work; what type of projects they’re engaged in and what sorts of opportunities exist for bright, motivated young people.”
The event was supported and attended by the school Principal, Gary Kelly and Careers’ Teacher, Margaret Collins.
